‘No helmet, no fuel’ policy stressed

A view exchange meeting was held at the conference room of Nilphamari Police Super on Sunday afternoon with the owners’ of Petrol Pump. The theme of the conference was “No helmet, no fuel.” The whole program was arranged by Nilphamari District Police. 

Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammed Mostafizar Rahman, PPM presided over the meeting while Nilphamari Chambers of Commerce President Shafiqul Islam Dablu, District aPetrol Pump President Shopon, District Petrol Pump Secretary Akram Haji  attended the program as the special guest. Asaduzzaman Noor, MP of Nilphamari-2, attended the program over phone. 

Mohammed Mostafizar Rahman said, “Helmet is very effective in driving motorcycle. A motorcycle rider who doesn’t use helmet faces many fatal hemorrhages caused by sudden accident. An accident affects not only the motorcycle rider but also his whole family members. We are trying to encourage the riders to use helmet. As a result, the number of accident has been decreased remarkably in this district.” 

Asaduzzaman Noor said, “While driving, to use helmet is mandatory all over the world. Petrol Pump owners’ have a very vital role in this regard. If they stop supplying fuel those who don’t use helmet, it will surely influence the riders. I thank the SP of Nilphamari for arranging such kind of program.”

Six Upazila’s Police Stations OC,  Journalists of different Print and electronic media were also present there to make the meeting successful.
