No extremists can love Bangladesh: Food Minister

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said that no extremist can love the motherland. Country cannot proceed with them whatever religion they belong to. He asked the people to be cautious about these people and group.

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the biennial conference – 2022 of Sarbojonin Puja Parishad of Sree Sree Siddeshwari Kalimandir in Dhaka on Friday.

The minister said as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is in power members of the minority community are getting justice for any kind of persecution.

He also said those who upload provocative status on Facebook must be brought under the perview of law. He asked members of the law enforcement agency and the Awami League supporters to remain alert so that peace in society cannot be affected due to a single person and members of minority community are not persecuted.

Prior to this the minister inaugurated the conference releasing ballons in the air.

Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharjee  were present on the occasion.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal attended the function as the chief guest presided over by Sree Jayanta Kumar Dev, president of the puja committee.
