Gazipur City Corporation placed its budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020.
Mayor of Gazipur City Corporation Mohammad Jahangir Alam placed the budget in the Bangotaj Auditorium at Rotkhola in Joydevpur on Monday.
Mayor said,” I want to make Gazipur a clean and habitable city for all. No shops will be allowed to sit and open on the road or street.”
“Steps will be taken to provide the unemployed people with employments too. No tax has been increased in the current Financial Year,” said the Mayor.
“I will not budge an inch from honesty and integrity. Nobody will be exempted from corruption and irregularity”, he added.
Among others, Mozammel Haque Minister of Liberation War Affairs, Md. Zahid Ahasan Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Shamsun Nahar Bhuiya MP, Md. Anowar Hossain, Metropolitan Police Commissioner of Gazipur, and SM Tariqul Isam Deputy Commissioner of Gazipur
were present.
