Planning Minister MA Mannan has said, Bangladesh is now a role model of development in the world. "We are constructing the Padma Bridge through self-financing and we have been able to align this country to the rank of developing countries through implementing various Mega Projects as directed by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Awami League brought honour for the Bangalee nation and we should proceed forward by nurturing and rearing the motherland in our heart. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for development of people of all professions. A vested quarter wants to mislead us behind through falsifying. So, by removing all rubbish of the past, we would like to proceed straight way."
Pledging to take steps to establish a full fledged air port in Bogura and to implement the Karotoa River Excavation Project, Planning Minister further said, according the the declaration of Prime Minister, there will be not a single bamboo culvert or bridge anywhere in the country, if Allah wishes. He called upon the people to inform him about the bamboo culvert or bamboo bridge anywhere in the country. He further said, all necessary actions will be taken and implemented for the welfare of the people. He called upon the new generation to read more and more books and to build the country by being inspired by the conscience of the Bangabandhu and the War of Liberation.
Planning Minister MA Mannan was speaking as the chief guest at a function held at the play ground of Shibganj Government Pilot Model High School in Bogura on Thursday noon. He also laid the foundation stone of long awaited Arjunpur Bridge on the river Karotoa.
