Coronavirus can spread only if an infected person comes into physical contact with another person that is prompting experts to suggest there is no option available but to stay home.

They said the government must act strictly to stop further spread of the deadly virus.
According to them, 'stay at home' has become the most popular word around the globe in the social media and real life.

Due to the coronavirus infection, countries took firm steps to keep their citizens confined to their homes. In this way, China, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea have been successful so far in the fight against the virus.

Russia has announced prison sentences if anyone comes out of the house in this crisis period. Italy and the United States have gone the same way.

Many countries have imposed lockdowns, curfews, and strict measures to ensure safety. Bangladesh has also enforced a mandatory 14-day home quarantine for foreign returnees.

So far, there has been a lack of awareness among the citizens.
Writer and columnist Syed Abul Maqsood said, "People need to be careful in order to survive. People are not keeping up with many things. In this case, the state, government, and society will have to work more collectively.

He also points out that this is not the task of the department of health. It is a civic duty and responsibility to abide by the law.
Public Health Professor and former President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Dr Rashid-e-Mahbub says, “Lockdown can be a method. It needs to be done. However, we need to pay urgent attention to the extent of the spread in the community,”

If we can measure the scale of community transmission, we will be benefited. If doctors cannot provide safe, uninterrupted service, lockdown is not needed, ' he added. He also said treatment should be given the highest priority now.

The doctor said, "Pneumonia is already in our country. Now it has increased. Many unknown pneumonia disorders will increase the risk if we do not pay attention to what is being treated.'

Former Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Professor Kamrul Hasan Khan said, "I think we are still lagging behind in terms of overall preparedness. If you do not force this preparation and lockdown now, there will be a kind of instability in society. Then there will be a big social crisis. "

“That social crisis on the one hand, and the catastrophe of this coronavirus on the other - can be a terrible situation in two ways,” he said adding, “So now it seems to be a good idea to move forward in the way that some people are locked down in areas.”

Three more cases of coronavirus in Bangladesh have been confirmed on Sunday, raising the number of COVID-19 patients to 27.
Among the infected patients, director of the government’s disease monitoring agency, IEDCR, Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora said, two are men and one woman -- all aged between 30 and 40 years.

Two of them returned from abroad while the other came into contact with a previously-infected patient, she said at the daily briefing. They are in good condition, though one of them has comorbidities such as diabetes and bronchitis. But symptoms are currently mild. The IEDCR has so far tested 564 people for coronavirus.

The government called upon the people to adopt preventive measures to fight the virus instead of panicking.
People have been asked to maintain social distancing, wash hands frequently with soap and cover cough and sneezes. The government is also implementing 14 days of mandatory quarantine for those who returned home from abroad.
