National Film Award winning film star Nipun has arranged iftar for the people on duty at FDC. She said that she has started this work from the first day of Ramadan.
It is learned that there is no other activity in the FDC mosque during this time except regular recitation of the Quran, zikr and prayer. Shooting at FDC has stopped a long time ago, so there is no gathering of people. Moreover, in this situation, there is no regulation permitting for any person to go to FDC.
In this situation, the security personnel are guarding the compound all the time. At this time Nipun is arranging iftar for them. She said she has started the work from the first Ramadan. She plans to provide iftar for FDC mosque staff and security personnel throughout the month of Ramadan.
It is to be noted that Nipun has already come forward to help unprivileged members of various organizations including needy artistes, make-up artistes, photographers associations. Earlier on the night of Shab-e-Barat, food was distributed among policemen on duty at Banani Police Station in Dhaka. And this time she is standing next to the people who are in FDC every day, arranging to send iftar for them.
It is learned that all the offices of FDC have been closed for a long time. The public holiday has been extended till May 5 to prevent coronavirus infection. So, for contemporary reasons all activities in FDC are now closed.
