Newborn baby rescued in Jashore

Police rescued a newborn baby at Bagachara of Sharsha upazila in Jashore on Thursday morning. The newborn girl was rescued from the side of Razzak’s Mill in front of the Bagachara Rural Electricity Office.

Bagachara Police Outpost’s in-charge Uttam Kumar confirmed the matter. Police and locals said, Babul, a tea shopkeeper, saw the child wrapped in cloth and rescued.

The alive child was taken into custody by members of the Bagachara police outpost. Babul later took the child from the police to take care of her. When the news spread, the curious locals rushed to see the child.
