New Year's pledge should be sincere awareness to protect thousands of years of Bengali heritage and culture, said the Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.

He expressed this conviction in his New Year's greetings for all Bengali speakers living in the country and abroad, including the media personnel, on the occasion of the arrival of Bangla Year 1429.

Dr Hasan Mahmud in his massage said, "The spiritual development of the nation lies in embracing the language and culture and heritage of the people for which the people of all religions have unitedly dedicated their lives under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman."

The Information and Broadcasting Minister said, “Bangladesh has successfully tackled the coronavirus epidemic under the far-reaching leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu. We have set a unique example in the world by achieving the third highest GDP growth in the world despite the Great Depression. In order to continue the development and progress of the nation, everyone should work together inspired by the mantra of patriotism, said Hasan Mahmud.
