New LGED Chief Engineer pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Newly appointed Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Rezaul Karim paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Friday noon.

He also recited from the Holy Quran and joined a special prayer seeking salvation for the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members. Additional Chief Engineers (Administration) Abdul Kuddus Mandal and Motiur Rahman, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj (Administration) AK Fazlul Haque, Chairman of Tungipara Upazila Parishad Md. Solaiman Bishash, Municipality Mayor Sheikh Ahmed Hossain Mirza, Pouro Awami League President Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul and Officers of LGED were present there at that time. 

LGED Chief Engineer Rezaul Karim also signed the visitorsbook kept at Bangabandhu Bhaban later. Earlier on Thursday, Rezaul Karim along with other high officials of his department placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi in the capital. 

Rezaul Karim has joined as the Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department on Wednesday.
