The recently appointed president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Aminul Islam Bulbul, has departed for Australia on TUesday, having embarked on a trip to celebrate the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha festivities with his family.
The former international player, who assumed his pivotal leadership role last week, has wasted no time in engaging with key stakeholders since taking the helm.
Since his appointment, Bulbul has been immersed in a series of high-level discussions, having already convened meetings with board directors and held talks with influential governmental sports advisors to outline his immediate vision for the sport. This rapid engagement underscores his commitment to the new role.
It has now emerged that the president of the board left the country last night (Tuesday). His immediate family has long been based abroad, and despite his recent return to take on the top leadership position, his family had remained overseas. Consequently, the Bulbul has travelled to join them for the significant religious observance.
While his precise return date remains unconfirmed, it is understood that the BCB chief is slated to attend an important International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting following the Eid period. A return to his duties in the capital is anticipated after this engagement.
