Hosts Nepal national football team eager to win over Kyrgyzstan U-23 of the tri-nation tournament. ‘The Gorkhalis’ will take on ‘The white falcons’ at the DashrathRagnashala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal at 5:45 PM (BST) on Thursday.

It will be the first encounter of the host side while visiting Kyrgyzstan’s last and final match in the tournament.Kyrgyzstan lost their opening match to Bangladesh 0-1 on Tuesday at the same venue.

Nepal coach Bal Gopal Maharjan expects improvement in the team.  The coach said his ambition is to see good performance from the team. Nepal is failing to perform well in international matches.

The record against Kyrgyzstan is not good for ‘The Gorkhalis,’ they played two outings so far. In 2003, Nepal lost to ‘The White Falcons’ 0-2 at the DashrathRangalshala Stadium in the AFC preliminary round. After six years of the outings, in 2009 a friendly match took place between the two teams and ended with 1-1 draw.

Bal Gopal Maharjan side & co beaten to Bangladesh in Novemver 13, 2020 and made a goalless draw on November 20, 2020.

“Squad looks in a good shape. We have prepared well and our ambition is to see improvement from past performances”, said Maharjan.

“Kyrgyzstan is a strong team, though they lost their first match, so, they will try to win and this is their do or die match. We must protect their attacks with strong hold,” added the coach.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan is under pressure. They must have to win the game. No alternative way in front of them. Coach MirlanEshenov& Co will try to win the game with big margin. They conceded one goal to Bangladesh in this tournament, if they wish to play in the tri-nation final; they must have to win a big total. Therefore, it will be a very tough game for the both side.
