‘Negligence won’t be tolerated in trains’

Deputy Secretary Zahidul Islam inspected the ongoing development activities of Bangladesh Railway in Dinajpur on Friday. 

Addressing the Dhaka-bound passengers coming from Panchagarh, he said if there is any problem regarding the ticket, it should be written in the guide book kept inside the train or should be informed to the station master or station superintendent. 

Meanwhile, he said to the railway officials and staff that no harassment or negligence would be tolerated in the passenger service. 

Maqbool Hossain, a passenger on the Panchagarh Express train, said the communication system has improved a lot due to supervision. Earlier, he had to face various problems to get a ticket, to face the overflowing crowd and for the ointment party thief inside the train. At present there are no such problems. Passengers of the intercity train expressed satisfaction over the safe passage. 

Bangladesh Railway, Dinajpur Superintendent ABM Ziaur Rahman, Station Master Nargis Pramanik, Bangladesh Railway Labor League Dinajpur District unit Vice President Md. Majedul Islam and others were present at the occasion.
