NCC councillor Khorshed sued

A criminal case has been filed with Fatulla police station against Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) councillor Maksudul Alam Khandaker Khorshed and a woman under digital security act.

On Sunday night, a lady filed the case stating that the accused Maksudul Alam Khandaker Khorshed and RTN Ferdousi Akter Rehena on April 24 and 25 came to Facebook live; they both publicly delivered some speech which was false, fabricated and humiliated her.

The plaintiff Saida Akter alias Sayeda Shewli (40) identified her as she is president of Munshiganj CNG Owners’ Association, readymade garments business woman and member of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturing and Exporters Association (BGMEA). She lived at 321 North Chashara and daughter of late Mohammad Johirul Haq.

The petitioner also claimed that the accused Khorshed married her on August 2, 2020 at the spot of SS filling station at Kanchpur area under Sonargaon police station.

She also added that she has to live abroad very often due to her business purpose. When she was in Dubai both the accused humiliated her by Facebook live. The sufferer also said that she was known to Khorshed from her childhood. But she married another one and has an issue in that conjugal life. The conjugal life didn’t continue and was divorced and then the accused Khorshed developed a relationship with her by messenger and Facebook. 

The marriage incident was secret and they moved to different places as husband and wife. When this information came to light then Khorshed tried to defame her to suppress the marital incident.

Khorshed Alam is a son of late Shahalam Khandaker, resident of Masdair area under Fatulla police station and also councilor of ward no. 13. The other accused of the case RTN Ferdousi Akter Rehena alias Rehana Muskan, resident of Shastapur area at Fatulla police station.

Officer in charge of Fatulla model police station Raqibuzzaman admitted the fact, he told that none has been arrested so far.
