The Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) has announced Tk 695 crore budget for financial year 2023–24.
With emphasis in the development infrastructure and health service providing sector, Mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation Dr Selina Hayat Ivy announced the budget on Monday at a function in the auditorium of Nogor Bhaban.
Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy, who consecutively placed budget in the last twenty years, in her this year’s budget speech committed to serve for the people of her city. “I will do each and every development if the city dwellers help me,” she said.
The budget size is fixed for 695 crore 7 lakh 58 thousand 919 taka for 2023-24 fiscal year. The expenditure was fixed for 672 crore 14 lakh 33 thousand 914 taka. And the surplus will stand 22 crore 93 lakh 25 thousand 5 taka.
Majority income would be collected from the revenue and development sector.
All councilors and the local elites were present in the budget announcing programme.
