National Statistics Day celebrated at IU

The Department of Statistics at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia celebrated 'National Statistics Day-2024' with fervor and enthusiasm, resonating with the theme 'Smart Statistics, Stairs of Development'.

The commemorative events commenced with a vibrant rally, spearheaded by the esteemed University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shaikh Abdus Salam, starting from the premises of M A Wazed Miah Academic building at 10:00 am. The rally traversed through the university campus, featuring the participation of Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, IUTA President Professor Dr. Anowar Hossain, Department Chairman Professor Dr. Mahabubur Rahaman, Professor Dr. Kamal Uddin, former IUTA President Professor Dr. Jahangir Hossain, Professor Dr. A H M Aktarul Islam, Associate Professor Dr. Sazzad Hossain, along with notable figures Motiur Rahman Molla, Sifat Muntaha Sony, and approximately 50 enthusiastic students from the department.

The colorful procession culminated back at the starting point, where a brief yet insightful discussion program unfolded at the department's seminar room. Participants engaged in thoughtful conversations, highlighting the crucial role of statistics in fostering development and innovation across various sectors.
