National Newspaper Olympiad held virtually

National Newspaper Olympiad competition was held on June 25 (Friday) in online.  The competition is arranged to find out the best newspaper experts in the country. The youth organization 'Newspaper Olympiad (NNO)' organized this Olympiad.

On 26 June, the organizers confirmed about it. They said, the Olympiad was held with various events throughout the day. The participants attend the Olympiad through Google form and the events were opening ceremony, Workshop and cultural events.

The Olympiad is organized 2nd time in this year  after the 1st time in 2020.  The results of the competition will be announced on June 30.The executives, coordinators, team members of NNO attended the event.

According to the organizers, the guests in the opening ceremony  were Sadat Rahman Sakib ( founder & CEO,  cyber teens), Mahfuz  Faruque ( senior adviser, NNO), Md Tajdin Hasan (cheif strategy & digital transformation officer, the daily star) and  Nahar (Executive Director, Alesha Mart).

The workshops were taken by Benjir Abrar (founder, Excellence Bangladesh) and Tawsif Munawaro (feature reporter, daily Ittefaq).

Besides content creator Rafayet Rakib, content creator and brand ambassador of NNO Mashrur Enan attended the programme as guest in cultural event.

They all encouraged the contestants as well as encouraged everyone to read the newspaper. The title sponsor of the Olympiad was Alesha Mart and the other partners were Excellence Bangladesh, Darikoma Publication, Admission Assistant, Digital Shikkhok, Shodagar.com.

Labby Ahsan, President of Newspaper Olympiad said, Newspaper Olympiad is working since 2018 to spread the habit of reading newspapers.  This is the second time that a nationwide Olympiad has been organized with the slogan 'Read newspaper, gain knowledge'.We are thankful to all our supporters, partners and guests  for making this events successful. We hope to expand the Olympiad to a bigger arrangement in future.
