The 46th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahmanand National Mourning Day were celebrated at Tangail through various programmes. At the beginning of the day on Sunday morning, Tangail Deputy Commissioner Ataul Gani offered his respect by placing a bouquet to the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at city's Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park.
Later, MP Sanowar Hossain, Sanjit Kumar Roy (Superintendent of Police) also paid their tribute. After that, offerings were also made by various political, social and cultural organizations including District Awami League, Tangail Municipality, Tangail Press Club and Jubo League with due honour and respect. Finally, prayers were offered for the eternal peace of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
