National Fisheries Week begins in Netrakona

National Fisheries Week from July 23 to July 29 have been beginning this year like every year with the theme of " Nirapad Mache Bhorvo Desh, Bangabandhu's Bangladesh ".

The department of Netrakona district  fisheries with the assistance of Netrakona district administration earlier chalked out various programmes to observed National Fisheries Week- 2022.

The National Fisheries Week-2022 programme include colorful rallies, releasing fishfries, discussion meeting,  Saminers, Prize distributing and screning of documentery films,  awerness building and motivational activities to further develop the fisheries sector in Netrakona. 

Habiba Rahman khan Shefali MP, led the colorful rally which brought out today at 11.30am from here from in font of Netrakona deputy commissioner office and pareded the main roads of the town and ended in the same place. A discussion meeting was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner while Deputy commissioner Anjona khan Mojlish by herself in the chair.

Habiba Rahman khan Shefali MP was attended the programmes and distributed prizes among the winners as the cheif guest.

The meeting addressed by among others Md Shajahan kabir, Netrokona district Fisheries officer, Senior Assistant director Shahidul Islam, Debashish Ray, Sadar Upazila fishery officer and others.

Habiba Rahman khan Shefali MP in her speech as the cheif guest said the present democratic government under the dynamic leadership of prime minister Sheikh Hasina our country is progressing hurriedly from every sector.

She called for enhancing priductio and consumption of fish to meet proten demand of our common peoples and strengthen their immunity espeically during the COVid--19 pendamic to build a healthier nation and attain the sustainable development goals.
