The National Cooperatives Day was observed in Chattogram and its adjacent district as elsewhere across the country on Saturday.
This year's theme of the day is 'Philosophy of Bangabandhu, Development in Cooperatives'.
Marking the day, Department of Cooperative chalked out
elaborate programmes in Chattogram.
Meanwhile, a colorful rally was brought out from the LGED office premises which ended at the same venue after parading different streets of the port city.
Later, a discussion was held in the conference room of LGED Bhaban on Saturday morning.
Former Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin presided over the function while Divisional Commissioner Ashraf Uddin, addressed the function as the chief guest.
DIG Anwar Hossain, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mominur Rahman, Prof. ABM Abu Noman, divisional Cooperative officer Ashis Kumar Barua and district Cooperative officer Murad Ahmed, among others, addressed the function.
