National Social Service Day was marked in Jamalpur on Sunday with the slogan “Success of Mujib Year: You will get all allowances at home”.
A rally, meeting and other programmes were held at the meeting room of Jamalpur Disability Building on this occasion.
Distribution of disability aids, loan distribution and cultural programme were also held.
Deputy Commissioner Mursheda Zaman was present as the chief guest in the meeting. Deputy Civil Surgeon Safi Ahmed, District Awami League Vice President Syed Atiqur Rahman Chana, Inspector (Investigation) of Jamalpur Sadar Police Station, Jahangir Selim, Human Resource Development Director of Unnayan Sangha, Monir Hossain Khan, District Coordinator of BRAC, Arifa Yasmin Mayuri, President of Stairs Social Welfare Organization, Amjad Hossain, President of Disability Services Organisation and others. Abu Ilias Mallick, Assistant Director, District Social Services Office and Faruk Ahmed, Registration Officer conducted the programme.

At the end of the programme, children with disabilities of Sheikh Russell Children's Training and Rehabilitation Center presented a pleasant cultural programme.
Various social development activities including allowances for endangered people, medical assistance to complex patients with cancer, grants among registered voluntary organisations, education stipends were also held.
