Research Fair-2023 is going to be held for the first time at Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) under the slogan 'Knowledge Exploration for Smart Bangladesh'.
This research fair has been organized through various day-long programs from Wednesday morning under the supervision of the Directorate of Research and Extension of CUET. About 350 teachers, researchers and students from 40 universities of the country will meet in the fair. Where a total of 124 research articles (91 posters and 33 projects) will be presented.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman will attend the opening ceremony of the research fair as the chief guest. CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam will be the guest of honour. Besides, deans of five faculties of CUET will be special guests. Director of Research and Extension Directorate Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik will preside over the event.
On this occasion, a press conference was organized in the academic council room of CUET administrative building on Monday.
Dr. GM Sadiqul Islam, member secretary of the Organizing Committee of Research Fair-2023 and Professor of Civil Engineering Department, gave a written speech highlighting various aspects of the program.

It was informed that teachers, students and researchers of 40 universities of Bangladesh, including CUET, are expected to participate in this national research fair organized for the first time. The fair will showcase research projects and innovations of teachers, students and researchers at different levels (undergraduate, postgraduate, others) of different departments, institutes and research centers of the university.
A total of 124 (91 posters and 33 projects) were finally selected through the review of the expert research panel. Researchers of different levels will get an opportunity to present at the research fair. Prizes of ten thousand, seven thousand and five thousand taka respectively will be given to the first, second and third place winners in poster exhibition and fifteen thousand, ten thousand and seven thousand taka respectively in project exhibition.
All academic student organizations of the university will be in full cooperation in the first National Research Fair organized at CUET Campus. The research fair will be sponsored by GPH Ispat, Revup, DCDL and Confidence Cement. The beverage partner will be Nescafé. Besides, Channel I, Channel 24, Now TV, Daily Observer, Dainik Azadi and News 24 will be media partners.
