A discussion meeting and prayer ceremony was held in front of Durgapur Bangabandhu Samaj Kalyan Samiti in Ishangopalpur Union of Faridpur Sadar Upazila on Saturday afternoon marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.
Former Upazila Chairman Shamsul Haque Bhola Master, Central Juba League leader Saiful Ahad Selim, Awami League leader Khandaker Murad Hossain, District Awami League adviser Abdus Sohban Mollah and others were present at the time. The meeting was moderated by Md. Jamal Sheikh, General Secretary of Union Awami League unit. At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered in memory of Bangabandhu and his family members.
