National Library Day was celebrated at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) with the theme of 'Smart Library, Smart Bangladesh'.
On the occasion, a rally was taken out from in front of the central li
brary of the university on Sunday (February 5).
The rally paraded important roads of the campus. University Registrar (Acting) Md. Fazlur Rahman and Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences Md. Rashed Talukder spoke on the occasion.
In his speech, Rashed Talukder said that education is the backbone of the nation and library is the backbone of education. T
herefore, there is no alternative to using the library to advance the country and education.
Our library is much richer than other libraries in the country. Therefore, the resources or facilities available in our library can be used by all teachers and students to expand the knowledge base. Deans of various faculties, heads of departments, hall provosts, teachers, students and staff were present at this time.
