Narail mayor laid to rest

Jahangir Biswas, mayor of Narail municipality and joint general secretary of the district Awami League, was buried at his family graveyard at Bhawakhali in Narail after the namaz-e-janaza held on Thursday. 

The namaz-e-janaza was on the Bhawakhali Government Primary School ground in Narail town at about 11:00 am. Awami League’s central organising secretary SM Kamal Hossain, MP from Narail-2 constituency and former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket Team Mashrafe Bin Murtaza, MP from Narail-1 constituency Kabirul Haque Mukti, chairman of Zila Parishad Advocate Sohrab Hossain Biswas and Superintendent of Police (SP) in Narail Md. Jasim Uddin joined the namaz-e-janaza, among others. 

After the namaz-e-janaza, SM Kamal Hossain, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narail Anjuman Ara, District Awami League President Advocate Subash Chandra Bose, general secretary Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu and party leaders and various social and cultural organisations paid last respect to Jahangir Biswas by laying wreaths at his coffin. 

The Narail municipality died of dengue fever on Wednesday (November 25) at Square Hospital in Dhaka.
