Bangladesh Kabaddi suffers a big margin loss

Naim third in Weightlifting in Asian games

Sheikh Naim Hossain finished third among four participants in the Group B men’s 73 kg weight category in the ongoing 19th Asian Games on Tuesday.  

Sheikh Naim lifted maximum 255 kg, 115 kg in snatch and 140 kg in clean and jerk. 

Meanwhile, Bangladesh men’s Kabadi team suffered a big loss to mighty India in the 19th Asian Games defeat by 55-18 points with four creditable “lona” in their second Group A match held at Xiaoshan Guali Sports Centre Court. 

Bangladesh made an impressive start in the Kabaddi with defeating Japan by huge margin of 52-17 points is disappointed in the very second match going down to India almost by same margin at the same ground.     

India pressurised on Bangladesh from the very beginning of the match. They took lead 24-9 points in the first- half. They also got 31 points in the second- half. After the match Indian coach Ramesh Giri said, young guys should have to play well in the upcoming matches. He hopes the team will win another two matches and move into the semifinal. India will take on Chinese Taipei on Wednesday at the same venue. 

Cricket 

Lead by Mohammad Saif Hasan Bangladesh cricket team will take on Malaysia in the quarterfinal at the Zheizhang University of Technology Stadium at 12 Pm (BST) today.   Bangladesh reached Hangzu three days ago and started practice. 

Chess 

Bangladesh will play in the round six at the Hangzhu Youan Chess Hall at 1 PM (BST).
