Sadia Afrin Kochi, UNO of Naikhangchhari Upazila went under self home quarantine following the detection of Covid-19 (Corona) virus of female a patient at Cox's Bazaar sadar hospital on March-24 where the husband of the UNO has been working as a physician.
Abu Zafar Salim, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer informed on Wednesday afternoon that on March-24 Corona virus was detected to a patient named Muslima at the Cox's bazaar sadar hospital. Dr. Mohammad Younuf of Cox's Bazaar sadar Hospital and husband of UNO Sadia Afrin Kochi was supervising the treatment of Muslima.
It is learnt, the report of Corona of Muslima being found to be positive, Dr. Younus has been admitted to the Isolation ward of the hospital while as a precautionary measure UNO Sadia Afrin Kochi has gone under self-quarantine. However, her health condition is stated to be normal. It is learnt, by putting naikhangchhari upazila under 'lock down,' UNO Sadia Afrin went into self-quarantine from Tuesday night.
Anowar Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Naikhangchhari police station informed, the locak down has been imposed in the upazila from Tuesday night.
