Mayor, councilors, officials and employees of Satkhira Municipality and the locals have observed a strike in protest of creating confusion and instability among the people centering waterlogging. They termed Hafizur Rahman Masum and accomplices’ activities under the banner of Nagorik Andolan Mancha (Civil Movement Mancha) worse than the so-called Satkhira Best Team.
Municipal panel mayor Kazi Firoz Hasan, Farah Diba Khan Sathi, municipal councilor Syed Mahmud Papa, municipal councilor Sheikh Shafiq addressed a human chain organized by Satkhira municipality on Wednesday. Women Councilor Josnaara, Municipal Councilor Sheikh Jahangir Hossain Kalu, Sheikh Abdus Selim, Shafiqul Alam Babu and others also attended the human chain.
Speakers at the human chain said that if there is any conspiracy to humiliate the people's representatives and responsible officials in Satkhira, the people of Satkhira would respond to them with a social boycott. Shibir cadre Hafizur Rahman Masum, the self-proclaimed general secretary of Satkhira's most controversial organization, is conspiring deeply to tarnish the development and image of the so-called prominent SJ government.
Satkhira residents know his SA Khatian. He was an active member of the Fulkuri organization of the real Jamaat-Shibir. He is now disguised as a chameleon and is conspiring with the ruling party leaders and citizens out of jealousy of various development works.
Speakers also said that the controversial Hafizur Rahman Masum is inciting the people to obstruct the development of Sheikh Hasina's government. The citizens of Satkhira will resist loudly against all these instigators. He demanded exemplary punishment by bringing those who conspired against the people and their representatives to achieve their own interests under the law.
