The sensational Sharif murder case with Narayanganj’s Fatulla Model Police Station was transferred shift to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.
Narayanganj CID Inspector Shajahan Mia, who has been assigned for investigation in the case, told the Bangladesh Post that he got the order but all documents are yet to reach in his hand. After receiving the case documents, they will start further investigation officially, he added.
A senior judicial magistrate court in Narayanganj following hearing on no confidence of the petitioner passed the order on November 22.
On July 30, Inspector Shahadat Hossain of Fatulla police submitted a charge sheet in the case three months after the murder.
On April 1, Sharif Madbor was hacked to death by a criminal gang in front of his residence at Adarshanagar village of Fatulla in broad daylight two months after he got married.
Later, victim’s father Alal Madbor filed a murder case with Fatulla police.
On June, police pressed charges against 25. The victim’s family filed a no confidence motion in the court.
According to the family, CCTV footage shows more than 40 people were involved in the incident.
