In a roundtable meeting organised by Narayanganj Press Club at its auditorium on Saturday the speakers unanimously decided the hawker from footpath and traffic congestion to be removed through stopping illegal transport plying.
People representatives, administration, police and road department persons were present in the opinion exchange meeting among others.
Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy, Narayanganj -4 constituency lawmaker AKM Shamim Osman, Narayanganj-5 constituency lawmaker AKM Selim Osman, Zila Parishad Chairman Chandan Seal ,Deputy Commissioner Mahmudul Haq, acting police super Amir Khosru, Assistant Director of BRTA Ruhul Amin addressed in the meeting.
All the speakers addressed that the major problem for Narayanganj are traffic congestion and footpaths occupied by hawker.
So, it was decided that that within a short time both problems would be solved.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mahmudul Haq said that he will start mobile court from Sunday and the illegal transport to be placed in the dumping zone.
It is mentioned that all the inhabitants in here desire to see the three representatives sit in a place to make a decision to solve the hawker and traffic congestion issue.
