Popular actress and model Ahona Rahman have become irregular for quite some time. She is now busy with her family and business outside the media work. Now, the actress plans to start working regularly once again. In a recent interview with A Mizan, Ahona shared her future endeavours.
Recently, you look irregular in acting. Are you getting less offers or is there any other reason?
I have deliberately reduced the work. In the last two years, I have worked on few projects. In fact, I have got the tag of Barishal. I have been tagged as such because for the character of a play made in the language of Barishal. I don’t actually act for any particular character. So, I'm doing less work. However, I want to return to work regularly. Recently, I have worked on two one-hour dramas called 'Lajja' by Mehdi Hasan Hridoy and 'Friday' directed by Ratan Hasan.
Tell me more about your projects ahead.
I like to work in serial dramas. Because the character can be nurtured. Next year, Zahid Hasan Bhai is scheduled to act in a serial drama. Besides, I am busy with my business. Due to corona, my business suffered losses. So, I have to give more time on business to overcome my losses.
You used to act regularly, but you are not that active now. So, doesn't it feel bad?
Not that it doesn't feel bad at all, but since I made that decision on my own, I don’t feel that bad. Time should be taken for something good. I will return to work regularly. But for now, I will not do any work in Barishal language.
You have not featured in a movie for some time now. Any reason behind it?
My luck with doing movies are not good. I believe drama is the right place for me. Movies are not for me. So, I don't want to feature in any movie for now.
When are you going to tie the knot?
Currently, I am lost in love, don’t know when will I get married (ha ha ha).
I still don't think much about marriage. I will get married when the time is right. I will not keep my marriage a secret. I want to get married by informing everyone.
