Bobita (25), wife of Majed Ali of village Kharial under Monakosha union of Chapainwabganj was reportedly murdered on July 11, 2023, but, after eight months, Bobita returned to her parents' house with her husband which has created a huge sensation among the people of the village and hundreds of people thronged in front of the house to have a look at her.
It is learnt, Bobita, daughter of Rasul Ali of Kharial village went missing when her father filed a complaint with Shibganj Police Station against Rubel, son of Enamul Haque of neighbouring Kapratola village for abducting his daughter Bobita. Later on July 26, last year, a female dead body wrapped in a sac was recovered from the Chapainawabganj Sadar area by police. By watching the dead body inside the sac, Rasul Ali identified the dead body inside the sac as his daughter's body.
Police sent the dead body to the morgue of Chapai Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
A case was filed with Chapainwabganj Model thana in this connection and the particulars of the case mentioned that unidentified assailants killed the woman by wrapping a scarf around her throat and left the body there.
Investigation Officer of the case SI Afzal of Chapainawabganj Sadar Thana on August 9 last year had arrested Rubel Haque (28) in connection with the murder of Bobita and sent him to jail.
After 40 days of imprisonment, Rubel Haque was released from jail on bail. The case is still under trial. But, on January 17 this year, Bobita with her husband Majed Ali arrived at her parents' house in Monakosha when a huge sensation was created among villagers and relatives of Bobita.

Bobita informed responding to a phone call of Rubel, Bobita went to a house of Housnagar village of Monakosha union.
Rubel along with two of his friends took Bobita to a place in Naogaon and tortured her severely and by administering her with a sleeping pill, Rubel and his friends managed to escape. On the other hand, her husband Majed Ali, son of late Afsar Ali of village Parail Kanchon under Manda upazila informed his earlier wife left her about one year ago. Later, he found Bobita at an auto-rickshaw garage in Manda and married her. During the marriage, Bobita identified her as Pia Khatun and said her house was in Kurigram. After marrying her, Majed took her to Dhaka where he worked as a garment worker.
Later, Pia Khatun alias Bobita turned ill and was treated. Majed wanted to know the address of her parents but she failed to tell her the address she told him that she used to read at Humayun Reza High School. After searching for the address of the school in Google, he detected the address of the school and they went to her parent's house in Monakosha.
Rubel Haque informed he was implicated in a false case and he admitted the responsibility of the murder due to police torture. He served 40 days in jail even after not committing any murder.
SI Khairul Islam of Shbganj Police Station informed, Bobita and her father were interrogated at the Police station and then sent home.
