PBI's Gazipur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Makshuder Rahman said Ranju Mia's body was recovered from a building under construction near the Konabari raw market fish market around 10am on July 18.

The next day, the victim's brother Shamim Hossain filed a case against the unidentified accused at the Konabari police station. The case was being investigated by the PBI.

The murder mystery was revealed after Faisal's arrest around 8:30 pm on Wednesday.
