State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan MP has demanded the posthumous trial of Ziaur Rahman, the mastermind of the assassination of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the beneficiary of the assassination, who later became the Army Chief, military ruler and the President.
The state minister made the demand on Wednesday afternoon while addressing as a special guest, the inauguration ceremony of Photography and Digital Corner by the Information Department at the Secretariat marking upcoming August 15 mourning day.
The state minister said those who did not want the independence of Bangladesh, those who did not believe in the spirit of liberation war, those who could not accept the leadership of the Father of the Nation, those Pakistani ghosts, those who did not have the spirit of freedom bought in the blood of 3 million martyrs, those who did not dream of breaking chains killed Bangabandhu and his family.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud MP spoke at the programme as the chief guest. Information Secretary Maqbool Hossain also spoke at the programme chaired by Shahenur Mia, Chief Information Officer.
