Munshiganj District Police has made a press briefing on the mystery of the Clueless murder case of Munshiganj police station in 17 hours. The press briefing was held on Tuesday in the conference room of the District Superintendent of Police. In a press briefing, Munshiganj SP Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman Al Mamun said that Noor Islam of Mizhikandi area of Adhara Union under Munshiganj police station, his father-deceased Subud Halder and his wife Tashlima Begum (40) had a marital dispute for a long time. Following this, Noor Islam Halder beat up his wife Mosa Tashlima Begum while harvesting the land. Later, Noor Islam Halder's wife Tashlima Begum received first aid from Munshiganj General Hospital and went to her daughter Piara Begum's rented house in Muktarpur Sakin. Besides, Noor Islam Halder's sister Mosa Hamida Begum (45) left the house. Hearing that Noor Islam Halder had beaten up his wife Tashlima Begum, their sons Sumon Halder (30), Mohammad Ali Halder (23) and Russell Halder (21) were outraged by the beating of his mother. Out of anger at the incident, their father Noor Islam Haldar started looking for him in various places of the village including the surrounding houses to take revenge. On 09 April 2023 at approximately 04.00 PM, Noor Islam Halder returned to her home from her sister Hamida Begum's house. On April 10, 2023, at approximately 03.00 hours, Nur Islam Halder, a resident of Mizhikandi under Munshiganj police station, was sleeping in the two-floor tin house of West Vitti. Calling the other elder brother Suman Halder (30) on the phone, they along with three brothers, unknown 2/3 with the help of sharp rams and sticks, cut and beat their father Noor Islam Halder on different parts of his body including head, waist, back and shoulders. After the murder, to cover up the matter, the dacoits went fishing in the nearby Meghna River and spread the word that they had killed their father.
Suman Halder (30) and Mohammad Ali Halder (23) brought their father Noor Islam Halder to Munshiganj General Hospital for treatment and their other brother Russell Halder escaped.
On receiving the news of the incident, Munshiganj police station officer-in-charge Tarikuzzaman along with Munshiganj circle Additional Superintendent of Police Thandar Khairul Hasan PPM arrived at the scene. Suman Halder (30) and Mohammad Ali Halder (23) were taken into police custody and interrogated intensively, considering the surroundings at the scene and at the same time the statement of the deceased's son Mohammad Ali was suspicious. At one stage of interrogation, they admitted their direct involvement in the murder.
He also said that during the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the father of the accused had been angry over the torture of the mother due to family quarrels, and the incident of the murder took place as a result of that. As a result of the immediate action of the police and intensive investigation, it was possible to unravel the mystery of the murder of deceased Noor Islam Halda in 17 hours. A regular case has already been filed in Munshiganj police station regarding the clueless murder incident. whose case No-23, Tang-10/04/2023 AD Section-302/201/34 Penal Code. As a result of the immediate action taken by the police in the case of Clueless murder, the real culprits were arrested along with the unraveling of the main mystery of the case. The police operation is continuing to arrest 2/3 unidentified persons involved in the murder of deceased Noor Islam Halder along with his other son Russell Halder are absconding. Based on the necessary evidence, the investigation of the case would be completed: Later, the police report would be submitted to the learned court.
