Mujibnagar UZ Parishad chairman lands in jail

Meherpur District Awami League Vice-President and Mujibnagar Upazila Parishad Chairman Ziauddin Biswas has been ordered to be sent to jail in the case of attack on the procession during the Anand procession on behalf of Farhad Hossain, the winner of the National Assembly election.  When Ziauddin Biswas surrendered in the Meherpur Judicial Magistrate Court on Wednesday afternoon, the court rejected his bail and ordered him to be sent to jail.  Judicial Magistrate Mo Zahidur Rahman gave this order.  Mujibnagar upazila chairman Ziauddin Biswas filed a case accusing about 30 people in the attack on the procession after a joyous procession was taken out in Anandabas village on the day after the National Assembly elections.

 On Tuesday afternoon, Altab Hossain, son of Alihim Molla of Anandabas village, became the plaintiff under Section 143/323/325/307/114/506/34, Mujibnagar Upazila Chairman Akched Molla of Anandabas village, Ziauddin Biswas, son of Ziauddin Biswas, Russell Uddin, son of Abdul Jalil.
