The Presidency University has observed the National Children’s Day and beginning day of Mujib Barsho celebrations as well as birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by holding various programmes.
The programmes, including singing the national anthem, showing documentary on life and work of Bangabandhu, discussion and cake cutting, were held on the campus in the capital on Tuesday.
Rokeya Afzal Rahman, chairperson of Trustee Board of the university and an advisor to the former caretaker government, attended the programme as the chief guest with Vice Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Mohammad Moniruzzaman in the chair. Major Gen (retd) Kazi Asfak Ahmed, deans of different faculties, departmental heads, teachers and students of Presidency University took part in the programme.
