On the occasion of Mujib Barsho, the final game of Munshiganj Municipality 5th Ward Champion Football Tournament prize distribution ceremony was held.
The event organized by Purba Ganapara Youth Society was held at Purba Ganakpara (Kazi Bari) ground premises on Sunday.
Munshiganj Municipal Mayor Haji Mohammad Faisal Biplob was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Munshiganj Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Nazmul Hasan Sohel, Munshiganj District Muktijoddha Sangsad Sontan Command President Md Jalal Uddin Rumi Rajan and Women Councilor Hosne Ara Begum were present as special guests. Matiur Rahman was present as the president on the occasion. Mostafa Sarwar Chhotan was in overall charge of the program.
Speaking as the chief guest, Haji Mohammad Faisal Biplob said that sympathy was created for each other through sports. Mutual bonds are strong. Youth can be focused on social work. If the youth society pays attention to the dust of the game, it will stay away from drugs and will help to build a beautiful society.
The final match was played between Shyamal Smriti Sangha and Milon Club. The game ended with a goal between the two teams (1-1). Later, Shyamal Smriti Sangha became the champion with a goal in tiebreaker (2-1). Mohan was Man of the Series and Shakil was Man of the Match. Shimul received the award as the highest scorer in the game.
