The countdown of Mujib Barsho the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, began at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) campus. Vice Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Md Didar-ul-Alam inaugurated the countdown of Mujib Barsho in front of the Shaheed Minar of the university on Monday.
Treasurer Prof Dr Mohammed Faruque Uddin, Proctor Prof Dr Newaz Mohammed Bahadur, Provost of Abdul Malek Ukil Hall Dr Firoz Ahmed, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Afsana Mousumi, members of NSTU Teachers' Association, teachers of different departments, officials of the university were present on the occasion. In his speech, Prof Dr Md Didar-ul-Alam said, "We should remember the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and we should work all together to maintain the progress of the country.” He also expressed his desire for the cooperation of all to celebrate the Mujib Year throughout the year.
