‘MujibBarsho’ third Beach Taekwondo competitionbegan yesterday at open stage of Laboni point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar and its District Sports Association(DSA) president Mohammad Mamunur Rashid inaugurated the two-day meet as the chief guest by the initiative of BTF, said a Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) press release here.
Cox’s Bazar Additional District Magistrate Shahjahan Ali, Cox’s BazarPolice Superintendent of tourist Police Zillur Rahman, Cox’s Bazar DSAgeneralsecretary Jasim Uddin and tournament committee’s chairmanSumanDeywere also present in the opening ceremony as special guests.
General Secretary of the BTF Mahmudul Islam Rana presided over the openingceremony. Nearly 180 taekwondo players of different DSAs, schools, colleges and clubsfrom across the country are taking part in the age group Poomsae categoriesof the competition.
