A Medical Promotion Officer of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited wearing PPE fell unconscious at Gariarpar area beside Barishal-Dhaka highway of Barishal on Wednesday morning. Fearing him to be infected with Coronavirus, no one approached to him to rescue. Later, police rushed to the spot and admitted him to SBMCH but he died during transferring him to Dhaka though an air ambulance.
The dead person was identified as Sujit Halder(40), Area Manager of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He was accompanied by his assistant Shahe Newaj. Shahe Newaj informed, they were going to Gournadi from Barishal.
On the way, Sujit felt ill and by stopping his motor-bike he sat down on the trunk of a tree beside the road and lost his consciousness with breathing problem. Shahe Newaj informed the condition of Sujit to his family through mobile phone but their arrival being late, he informed the incident to nearby Airport Police station.
No one of the neigbouring areas come to rescue unconscious Sujit and to admit him to the hospital. Meanwhile, an Airport police team headed by SI Wares rescued Sujit from the spot and rushed him to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
