A motorcyclist was killed when a truck hit him at Subhanighat area in Sylhet city near the police outpost on Thursday night at 11.30pm.
The deceased was identified as Mohon Miah, 30, son of late Abdul Bari, a resident of Kulaura Upazila.
Police sources said, the accident took place when an electric laden truck collided with him while he was riding a motorcycle, leaving him dead on the spot.
After the incident police detained the driver and helper with the truck.
The body was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection said, Prithom, a sub inspector of Kotwali police station.
