Monirul Islam Bhuiyan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramu Police Station, has been selected as the Best Officer-in-Charge in Cox’s Bazar District for his outstanding role in crime control, recovery of drugs and illegal firearms, and execution of arrest warrants.
The announcement was made during the monthly welfare and crime review meeting of Cox’s Bazar District Police, held yesterday at the Drill Shed of the Cox’s Bazar Police Lines.
At the end of the meeting, Superintendent of Police (SP) A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman presented a special award to OC Monirul Islam Bhuiyan in recognition of his remarkable performance. The event was attended by Officers-in-Charge from different police stations, Additional Superintendents of Police, and other senior officials of the district police.
According to district police sources, since joining Ramu Police Station, Monirul Islam Bhuiyan has carried out several successful operations, particularly in the remote hilly areas of Eidgorh under Ramu. During these operations, a number of illegal firearms were recovered and several criminals were arrested. In addition, he has played a significant role in recovering drugs and weapons from different parts of Ramu and arresting multiple accused persons listed in outstanding warrants.
Speaking about the recognition, OC Monirul Islam Bhuiyan said that any award increases one’s sense of responsibility. He added that since joining Ramu Police Station, he has been working tirelessly to eliminate crime and maintain law and order. Following the directives of the Superintendent of Police, he and his team are committed to ensuring that the people of Ramu can live safely and sleep peacefully.
He also sought continued cooperation from the local community in maintaining law and order in the area.
It is worth mentioning that Monirul Islam Bhuiyan previously served with distinction as Officer-in-Charge in several police stations, including Raozan and Sandwip in Chattogram.
