The border guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in Moheshspur frontier in Jheanidah have seized 10 gold bars worth over taka 74 lakh on Thursday morning. The gold bars were seized where the owner or carrier of the valued bars was not appeared, said the BGB sources.
BGB 58 battalion assistant director Saiful Islam in a press release said acting on a tip off, the border guard personnel had conducted a drive at Nischintapur field under Palianpur border outpost (BoP) at about 10 am on Thursday. They seized ten gold bars, while the owner or the carrying person was not detected.
Filing a case with bordering Moheshpur police station they have been maintaining process to deposit the seized gold bars with treasury office with the coordination of the investigation officer, BGB man aid.
