Mobile courts in Thakurgaon fined 12 individuals for violating safety regulation and lockdown rules in the town on Wednesday. Executive magistrates in the town led the mobile courts.
Executive magistrate Golam Rabbanni fined several hotels for serving food orders in congested open environment. Mobile court then conducted drives at Ruhia, Dholarhat and Vulli Bazar and fine 5 locals the area including 2 hotel owners.
Meanwhile, Thakurgaon Sadar Additional Commissioner (Land) Kamrul Hasan conducted mobile couirt at Thakurgaon Sadar intersection, Baromath, Barungao and Farabari Hat area and fined 7 people for not using masks. During the drive, he and other officers advised people of proper usage of mask and hygiene regulations.
A mask distribution programme was also held during the drive.
