Mobile court in Thakurgaon fines 41 for lockdown violation

Thakurgaon district administration has increased mobile court drives in order to maintain proper lockdown in the town. During multiple drives, 32 people along with pedestrians and business owners were fined for wandering in streets and opening shops without emergency reasons.

District administration officials assisted by Thakurgaon district police are constantly assessing the situation and taking necessary steps to impose the strict lockdown properly. Mobile courts on Saturday conducted several drives outside the town.  Joint task force combined by Bangladesh Army, RAB, BGB, and police personnel had been assisting the Thakurgaon district administration from the first day of the lockdown. Mobile court on the third day of lockdown fined several pedestrians for roaming the streets of the town without any emergency reason. Thakurgaon Sadar UNO Abdullah Al Mamun conducted several drives on Sunday.

Sadar upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kamrul hasan Sohag led a mobile court in Amkali area of the town. 

He there fined several shop owners for keeping their shops open during the lockdown. 

Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner Md Mahbubur Rahman and Police Super Jahangir Hossain visited Baliadangi upazila to monitor the lockdown situation. During the visit, Baliadangi UNO Zobayer Hossain briefed them about the lockdown situation of the upazila.

It is to be mentioned that district administration officials from Thursday morning have been working relentlessly to implement the week-long strict lockdown in the town.
