Police recovered dead body of a child six days after it had gone missing from Monipur Modhyopara area of Gazipur Sadar upazila on November 10.
The body was recovered from the abovementioned place at about 11:00 am on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Munia, 5, daughter of Manjur Hossen of the same area.
Md. Based Miah, sub inspector of Joydevpur Police Station, confirmed the matter.
Police sent the body to Gazipur Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmad Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem.
Police believe miscreants dumped the body here after killing her 4/5 days ago. Investigation is underway.
