Miscreants cut down 42 Jujube trees in Benapole

Unidentified miscreants on Saturday night felled 42 Jujube (Kul) plants on one and a half bighas of land belonged to Rezaul Islam son of Hossain Ali of Goyra village under Benapole Port police station.

Rezaul Islam has filed general diary Benapole police station in this connection. 

Rezaul Islam informed, he went to spray insecticides at his Jujube orchard on Saturday noon and saw 42 Jujube plants of his garden have been cut by unidentified miscreants. 

He further said, he has no enmity with anyone and it was beyond his apprehension who might be behind such a loss.  He presumed, he has incurred at least Taka 1.5 lakh loss due to felling of the plants. He demanded arrest and punishment of the miscreants. 

Monir Hossain Mintu, Member of Goyra Union Parishad of Benapole demanded to detect the miscreants and award them exemplary punishment. 

SI Zakir Hossain of Benapole Port Police station informed, the affected jujube farmer has filed a complaint with the police station and action will be taken against the responsible persons after investigation.
