The police rescued 6 tourists who were stuck on the inaccessible hill of Khaiyachhara waterfall in Mirsharai Upazila of Chattogram district. The tourists after being lost and trapped dialed 999 to connect with National Emergency Service at 9.30pm on Thursday.
They were also rescued by the Mirsharai police after conducting an operation for 2 hours in the mountains.
The rescued tourists are Motaleb Hossain's son Al Amin (18), Amir Hossain's son Mukid Ahmed Shubhra (17), Abdur Razzaq's son Omar Farooq (18), Mohiuddin Dewan's son Naeem Ahmed Tamim (20),Tofajzel Hossain's son Tanveer Hasan (20), Anishur Rahman Anik (18), son of Shamchuddin Bepari.
Officer in Charge (OC) of Mirsharai Police Station Kabir Hossain said, "After getting the news, 6 tourists were rescued after a 2-hour raid inside the mountain. They have been sent home.
