Police recovered the body of a minor boy from Biswasbari cemetery in Dohakula area adjacent to Jessore district municipality on Tuesday night after six days of his missing.
The deceased was identified as Jaddin (11), son of late Olia Biswas of Bagharpara upazila. The boy was reported to be mentally unbalanced.
Selim Reza, headmaster (acting) of the local Dohakula Madhyapalli Primary School, said Jaddin were missing since July 30. The next day, on July 31, a general diary (GD) was kept at Bagharpara police station. Six days later, on Tuesday night, the stench began to waft through the bushes in the cemetery next to the house. Later, Local people spotted it lying and informed the police.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bagharpara Police Station Syed Al-Mamun the reason behind the death could not be known yet.
