Staff Correspondent: Dipen Dewan, the Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, has resigned from his post due to physical illness
According to relevant sources, he officially submitted his resignation letter to the Prime Minister on Monday.
In his letter, Dewan mentioned that he has been suffering from various physical complications since assuming his responsibilities.
He explained that these health issues were creating difficulties in performing the regular duties of the ministry effectively.
Dewan further stated that he believes stepping down is the right course of action to maintain the momentum of the current government's development and administrative work.
He formally requested the Prime Minister to accept his resignation
Dipen Dewan serves as the elected Member of Parliament for the Rangamati hill district and has been leading the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs
Although the resignation has been submitted, he has not yet made an official public statement regarding his departure.
